First and foremost, thank you God for continuing to bless us with Elias’ presence. All the praise and glory go to Him.
We are now at nine months. That sentence alone still doesn’t feel real some days. This past month has been the usual rollercoaster—some moments impossibly hard, others unexpectedly beautiful. We've watched his body change—the weight loss, the fatigue—and yet his spirit keeps showing up. Some days are heavier than others. Some days it feels like we’re just trying to breathe, but he’s still here. Still laughing. Still crying. Still fighting. Still holding us together in his own quiet way.
We had a friend generously let us use their beach house, and we had a wonderful time. Best part we got to bring Solo with us. Seeing Elias, Lazarus and Solo having fun on the beach was amazing. It was a much-needed break from the city. Gave us some space to breathe, laugh, and create memories that we’ll hold close forever.
His birthday is coming up on April 27th. The Big 14. It brings so many feelings. Gratitude that we get to celebrate another year. Fear, love, hope—all tangled together. But more than anything, this season has taught us to hold tight to the small moments. Every walk. Every conversation. Every quiet morning.
