Launched in 1994 and sold through the 1990s, the BMW E38 represents the third generation of the 7 Series and quickly became a benchmark for luxury sedans of its era.

It boasted a range of engines, from silky straight-sixes and smooth V8s to a flagship V12, and was the first European car to introduce curtain airbags, satellite navigation, and in-built television.

Even before its 1998 facelift, the E38’s design combined elegant proportions, the iconic kidney grille, and twin round headlights in a timeless silhouette, widely regarded as one of BMW’s most beautiful sedans.

Inside, the nearly analog cockpit, complete with multi-zone climate, plush Comfort Seats, a premium sound system, and optional rear-seat amenities, offered an inviting blend of technology and driver-focused ergonomics.
