Hi, I’m Alexandra 👋🏼 7 years ago I walked away from the career I spent $100,000’s and 3 years in law school building. It just… so wasn’t it. 🥴

I woke up every day dreading work, feeling so disconnected from the life I’d dreamt of growing up.

A life of adventure, creativity, positive impact…

But my marriage, my career, my entire life plan — it was destroying me behind closed doors. 💔 So I booked a one-way ticket to Indonesia & started over. ✈️

The advice I now give people is this:

1) You actually don’t have to wait until you’re *miserable* to make a change. (Please don’t!) You just have to believe you’re allowed to want more — and that you’re capable of figuring it out along the way. 

2) Get over the fear that people will judge you, because at the end of your life it won’t matter one bit & you’ll regret holding yourself back just to appease small-thinking people.

3) Start imperfectly & before you have it all figured out. If you’re waiting to craft some detailed plan of how things will infold *before* you take action, this will become your excuse to procrastinate… forever. 

4) Your support group can be small, but it is *essential.* If you even find 1-2 people who unconditionally support your goals/happiness, their voices can override the rest when you need encouragement.

5) Google the “sunk-cost fallacy.” Don’t make this mistake with your life. Don’t stay stuck in something just because you’ve invested a lot into it. GTFO and rebuilt something better. Take my story as an example. 

Now, I honestly love what I do. I get to travel the world, create on the daily, & take people with me on adventures (this video was from my recent Kyrgyzstan Group Trip 🇰🇬)!

My life isn’t perfect, but it’s intentional. And I’m so glad I had the guts to walk away, despite all the internal/external voices that would’ve preferred I play it safe. 😉
