⛰️ Natural Chimney’s Info

- see up close incredible rock formations and geology that are a Nature Wonder in Virginia
- 7 “rock chimneys” ranging in size from 65 to 120 feet tall 
- formed from limestone that hardened over 500 million years ago in the Paleozoic Era when this are was under water 
- over time erosion has left what you see now
- you can take a short 2.2 mile loop hike on the trail up to above the chimneys for great view of the mountains and looking at the top of the formations 
- the park is located along the North River
- the park also has a 145 site campground 
- jousting tournaments are held here every August
