🚨 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖 @𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬

⛰️ PATC “Potomac Appalachian Trail Club” is a volunteer based,  non profit organization that manages over 1,000 miles of hiking trails, including cabins and shelters

🏠 They have 45 cabins from Chatlottesville, Virginia to Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. 18 cabins are public cabins, 27 are member cabins. You can join the PATC annually for $40 per individual or $45 a couple and have access to ALL the cabins. And the $ you pay towards membership goes to a good cause of taking care of the trail & shelters.

📌 Rock Spring Cabin 
📍 Central District Shenandoah National Park 
🥾 .2 mile hike to the Appalachian Trail & a .8 mile hike to the cabin
• cabin is adjacent to the Rock Spring Shelter
• water is close by from a piped mountain spring
• cabin has its own private privy 
• outdoor fireplace on the front porch and indoor wood burning stove 
• mattresses for the bunks are available but I would recommend bringing your own blow up mattress pad to put on top of those as shown in the video along with a sleeping bag and blow up pillow
