A toddler is in critical condition in a Valley hospital after being pulled out of a pool at an apartment complex in Scottsdale, authorities said.

The Scottsdale Fire Department said they received a distress call from a complex near Scottsdale and McDowell roads on Tuesday morning.

The calls said a 3-year-old child had been found unresponsive in the swimming pool.
