#GhislaineMaxwell, convicted accomplice of #JeffreyEpstein, has offered to testify before Congress, but only under strict conditions, including immunity, according to a letter her lawyers sent to the House Oversight Committee.

As reported by CNN, Committee Chair #JamesComer had subpoenaed Maxwell to testify next month. The committee subpoenaed Maxwell last week for a prison deposition scheduled for August 11. Her legal team initially planned to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights but later said she’s willing to cooperate if “a fair and safe path forward” is provided. Maxwell’s attorneys cited her ongoing Supreme Court appeal and warned that any current testimony could jeopardize her legal rights and influence future proceedings.

However, the Oversight Committee has already rejected the idea of granting her immunity. “We will respond soon, but immunity is off the table,” a committee spokeswoman said. Comer added, “I don’t think many Republicans want to give immunity to someone who may have trafficked children.”
