What was supposed to be a weekend of vibes, beauty, and culture quickly turned into a tech horror story. From escaping a lightning storm at a Jordan Brand party to realizing the convention center was shockingly empty, this Essence Festival had me in a chokehold.

 My phone? Crashed.
My sanity? Hanging by a thread.
BUT—somehow I still discovered a new Black-owned fragrance brand, stayed out at the concert until 1AM (and it still wasn’t over), and got gifted unreleased Jordans 👀
