If you’ve ever wanted to step into a real-life Monopoly board, sip local brews at the historic Reading Railroad station, and ride scenic trains through storybook countryside—Berks County, Pennsylvania is calling your name. Here’s how to spend the perfect getaway for train lovers and nostalgia chasers:

📍 Start at the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum — dive into the history of one of America’s most iconic railroads. Think vintage locomotives, conductor uniforms, and the stories of the people who kept the trains running.

🍻 Next stop: Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub—housed inside an old train station made iconic by Monopoly! This is where craft beer meets railroad history. Sip a cold one where trains once rolled in and out. The vibe? Cozy, industrial, and full of character. sauconycreekfranklinstation 

🚆 Hop aboard a scenic train ride with the Firefly Express (or one of their many other scenic train rides — they have plenty). Their restored 100-year-old cars take you through lush forests, over bridges, and into a fairytale-like gorge.
