Western University's Unified Basketball program - the first of its kind in Canada - is thriving, and western_rec is changing the game through belonging. 

Recently, specialolympicsontario contacted Western Campus Recreation to present a new opportunity – bringing a team to the three-on-three (3x3) women's Unified Basketball tournament hosted by Special Olympics Indiana from August 4 to 7, 2025.

Although the 3x3 format isn't a regular part of local Special Olympics programming, #Westernu Campus Recreation worked with the organization to pull a team together. They are the only Canadian team participating in the international tournament.
