Destructive fishing is one of the greatest threats to our ocean’s health, but did you also know that it’s connected with human trafficking and forced labour at sea?

It’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, and we’re shining a light far out to sea, where the global fishing industry operates – mounting reports indicate that illegal fishing and human rights violations are often committed in order to cut costs and maximise profits, emptying the ocean to fill supermarket shelves.
