## Caption

Motivated by the rapid decline of pollinators, Gold Award Girl Scout Rowan Juarez created Perennial Pollinator Habitat: a dedicated garden space and a pollination curriculum for kindergarten classrooms at La Presa Elementary. With support from local educators and a plant nursery, she gave young students the chance to learn about pollinators firsthand by exploring the garden, following a butterfly’s life cycle in class, and engaging with her custom lesson plan.

Rowan's project has inspired the next generation of environmental stewards and boosted her own confidence, public speaking skills, and expertise in pollinator-friendly planting.
