It started over 13 years ago when founder Danielle picked up a brush as a personal outlet while working at a nonprofit. Surrounded by inspiring creatives, she painted her first piece and shared it on social media. Someone wanted to buy it! That moment planted the seed for what became DMC Original Art in 2021.
 
Her secret? Art as meditation. "I believe the energy we bring to our work shapes the outcome," she explains. “For me, that energy is grounded in daily practices like breathwork and mindfulness.”
 
Using "fluid art" technique with acrylics and epoxy resin, she creates marble-like patterns that mirror nature's unpredictability. Her mission: "functional, nature-inspired art that brings peace and mindfulness into everyday life." From resin trays to wall hangings, each piece offers more than beauty. It creates moments of stillness.
 
Beyond individual art, she hosts community workshops promoting mindfulness through creativity. Her work has appeared at West Elm and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Shop, but what matters most? "When someone tells me my art helped them feel a little more grounded or peaceful – that’s everything.”
