Soloing Mont Blanc from the street to the summit in under a day was not part of my original training plan for this Alpine spring. Still, after a rest day, I decided to push my limits and see how my body responded to a significant endurance challenge to prep for what's next on the horizon this year and next. While this route may not have been the hardest I tackled this season, reaching the summit filled me with an immense sense of joy.

At the top, I seized the moment to meditate and call my family and friends, reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought me to this point. I encountered many inspiring climbers and friends along the ascent, which reinforced the idea that climbing is about the community and connections we build, not just the solitary experience. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey over the years without their encouragement, I wouldn’t be standing here feeling so proud and happy.

Of course, the descent threw a curveball my way when I took a wrong turn and got lost in the woods, but I got to see a beautiful sunset and reflected on each step that day.

It was a reminder of the importance of navigating wisely and the invaluable support of friends and family along the way to the next summit internally or externally.
