On a mission to test an early prototype of the Boostic R in 2023, SCARPA Athlete Josh Wharton climbed the first ascent of Raise the Main! in Rocky Mountain National Park. More from Josh 👇

A stiff shoe like the Boostic R was absolutely critical for standing tall off small edges and managing foot fatigue over such a long pitch. This 50 meter all gear 5.13+ is steep, athletic, and complex; tackling an imposing section of the gneissic Ships Prow above Chasm Lake. The penultimate crux comes at the 45 meter mark, where a bouldery roof succumbs to long moves off tiny footholds.
