What is the outer universe? 🌌

We’re exploring an eight-panel, double-sided scroll from the 16th century which illustrates Kalachakra Tantra cosmology with diagrams that explore various aspects of the cosmos, the human body, and more. 

For the outer universe, think large elemental mandalas: wind, fire, water, and earth—circling around Mount Mehru, where the continents spiral outward and upward.
