The cause of death of Sophia Hutchins was revealed in a death certificate from the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, obtained by publication PEOPLE. Hutchins, 29, died on Wednesday 2 July after crashing her All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) into the back of a moving car, near Jenner’s home in Malibu, California. The ATV then left the road and fell 350 feet down a ravine. Hutchins was pronounced dead at the scene by medical professionals, while two passengers in the other vehicle were left uninjured. Hutchins’ death has been ruled an accident, though the case remains open. Further details shared by sergeant Eduardo Saucedo, from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department out of Malibu, suggest that Hutchins “may have been speeding” at the time of the collision. “It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff,” Saucedo told the Daily Mail.
