The Hellcat’s supercharger whine comes from its massive 2.4-liter twin-screw blower, which compresses air at high speeds to feed the engine.

As air rushes through the tight rotors and bypass valve, it creates a high-pitched, mechanical whine that gets louder with throttle.

Unlike centrifugal or roots-type superchargers, the twin-screw design produces a more aggressive, consistent sound, and Dodge intentionally tuned the intake to amplify it, making the Hellcat’s whine a signature part of its identity.
