🍂 Cozy mornings call for Pumpkin Maple Donuts.

Welcome back to episode 6 of my Fall Bucket List series, where I share recipes and activities for you to do this Autumn. I have been in the mood for some baked donuts and couldn’t decide between pumpkin and maple donuts, so I thought it would be fun to do a marble of the two.

This, with the cinnamon sugar, is like biting into the ultimate fall treat.

🌰 Here’s what you need to try this at home:

Ingredients:
2 cups AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup milk or milk alternative
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup olive oil or neutral oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
Two eggs
3/4 cup pumpkin puree
1 tsp pumpkin spice or cinnamon
1 tbsp maple
1/4 tsp cardamom

Cinnamon Sugar:
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

Recipe:

Preheat your oven to 400F

In a large bowl, combine your wet ingredients (eggs, sugar, milk, sour cream, oil, and vanilla extract). Then, add your dry ingredients (AP Flour and baking soda) for your base batter.

For the marble effect:

Once you have your base batter, split the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, add your pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice to create the pumpkin batter; in the other bowl, add your maple syrup and cardamom to create your maple batter.

Pour each batter into separate piping bags and pipe them into your donut pan, alternating between each bag. Once pipped, Grab a toothpick and swirl to create the marble effect.

Bake at 400F for 10 mintues

Note: For the general pumpkin maple donuts, you can add in the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cardamom, and pumpkin spice when combining your wet ingredients, then add in your dry ingredients

Once the donuts are done baking, let them cool for about 2 minutes.

Then dip your donuts into the melted butter and the cinnamon sugar.

🤎 Enjoy!
