Tonight, my mentor and friend Jill Tarter was presented with the inaugural Tarter Award. She is a delight as always, and I am privileged to breathe the same  air as her. Thanks to her walking and fighting and pursuing, we can run and search and share. Congrats on the 40 years of the SETI Institute and the Tarter Award. Here’s to 40 more and the (eventual) discovery of life beyond Earth.
