Despite being detained and tortured in #Venezuela, luiscarlosdiazv continues to expose abuses of power and fight for freedom of expression. The clooneyfoundationforjustice was honored to recognize him with the Justice for Journalists award at #TheAlbies last week.

Emily Blunt and JohnKrasinski, who presented Luis Carlos with his award, said that “his story reminds us that when a journalist is suppressed, it is not just one person who is targeted, it is the people's right to know the truth itself."
