Sorry we were late, julibenson44 was throwing a FIT 💁🏼‍♀️ 👸🏼 

One thing about me is that I’m gonna try to make the best out of the situation.
I wasn’t able to get myself together in time to race at USAs this year, and missing out yet again sure does sting. But I promised myself to have as much fun as possible supporting my teammates in Eugene this past weekend and I can genuinely say I achieved that.

Will I ever get back to a place where I’m competing to make Team USA again? I hope so, and I’ve made some good changes this year to get closer. But I’ll tell you 2 things… 
1. Seeing emilyinfeld win the 10k on Thursday, securing her first national title at age 35 after the years of shit she has been through… gave me REAL hope.
2. Being there with teammeridia was 100 billion times better than being there alone. And I know that would have been true no matter if I was racing or not.

One thing I heard over and over from athletes was: damn, this meet is stressful. And just getting there healthy and in the right headspace can feel like a big. Having the right people on your team, showing up for you consistently with the right energy, is probably the most important thing for these athletes. We cannot do it alone, it’s just too much.

When you’re watching these races, just know there’s ALWAYS more going on behind the scenes than you could ever know. It’s been a privilege to see that up close and personal. And hopefully next year I’m one of those athletes who is putting their heart and soul on the line and asking you for your support and love no matter the outcome.

Excited for what the rest of the summer has in store for both me and my teammeridia teammates. 💜
