This is pretty cool. I had shared this video on Facebook not knowing what was going on. People commented and clued me in. Not sure how I missed it until now, but, that's the way she goes.

• Location: 6th Ave and 9th ST SW

ATCO teamed up with Attainable Homes to put this together. An affordable housing "building" comprised of modular pre-built box homes, each one containing two studio sized apartments for people to live in. In total there will be 84 living units split across 6 stories of containers. They took about 3 months each to fabricate.

Once they're all in place they'll begin constructing the stairwells, elevators and other finishing touches. They're expecting them to be ready for January 1st, 2026.

From a CBC article they say each one will cost less than $1100/mo to rent. No mention about utilities, pets, or ownership.

They're also going to be building another one of these in Sunnyside!
