New live visuals at Hozier’s last concert! But what do they mean? Let’s talk about it! 💡

We have recently been introduced to some amazing new visuals on Hozier’s last show at the Governors Ball a couple days ago. 
Some of them for Someone New, Francesca and Would That I 🫰🏻

But for songs like “Nobody’s Soldier” and “Nina Cried Power”, we had powerful and unmistakable messages: 

NO IRISH NEED APPLY (NINA): It’s a terse summation of the job discrimination that Irish immigrants faced in America in the mid-19th century while looking for a better life during the great famine. 
Despite several attempts to deny the existence of these signs, great evidence show that NINA was real and very prevalent.

LOCKHEED MARTIN SHARE PRICE: The Lockheed Martin Corporation (American) is the leading provider of weapons, missile defense systems, aircrafts and other machinery for the military defense industry.
Fueled by geopolitical tensions around the world, the company has had roughly a +660% increase over 20 years in share price. 20% only in the last three years due to war against Ukraine and multiple conflicts raising.

Some other facts shown are:
— The combined wealth of the five wealthiest individuals between 2020 and 2023 summed 869 billion dollars. 
In 2025 this same figure adds up to 1.143 trillion dollars.

— In 2001 alone, the global military spending was around 813.5+ billion dollars.

— 47.200.000 children have been displaced due to conflict and violence between 2010 and 2023.

— 3.800.000 deaths due to armed conflict since 1989.

— 15.418 individuals were in emergency accommodations in Ireland in 2024. In 2025  the number adds up to 15.580.

— Also in 2024, 770.000 people were experiencing homelessness in the United States (1 in every 435) and 333.000 people in France.

Hozier continues to use his platform to speak about relevant issues and give visibility to the real problems we are facing as a society worldwide.
