#MajorMonday goes global! Students from the College of Arts and Letters, majoring in political science, explored South Africa’s political landscape—past and present. From visiting Robben Island and learning about post-Apartheid education and the NGO sector, to interviewing immigrants during an internship at a labor rights organization, the experience offered a powerful view into global political issues.

Living in Observatory, Langa, and Bo-Kaap, students engaged in weekly isiXhosa language lessons and coursework, while also taking excursions to iconic sites like the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach, and the Slave Lodge Museum.
