It’s World Elephant Day! 🌏🐘 We’re so grateful for the opportunity to care for this incredible species (for 70+ years and counting!), and share with our guests every day about what makes these animals so special. Asian elephants are endangered with only about 40,000-50,000 left in the wild. They face threats like habitat loss, human-elephant conflict and poaching. However, there’s still plenty we can do to help even here in the United States! Here’s how:

🌿 Visit the Tulsa Zoo! A portion of every ticket supports conservation partners like @elephantsief, working to protect elephants in the wild. Learn more about IEF and their incredible work here: https://elephantconservation.org/
🌴 Choose wildlife-friendly products made from sustainable palm oil!
💝 Support conservation organizations – Donations, memberships and symbolic adoptions help fund field projects that protect wild elephants.
🐘 Spread awareness – Share what you know about the challenges elephants face to inspire others to take action. You'd be surprised how even one conversation can make a difference! #asianelephantawarenessmonth
