We’ve reached the final chapter of #JennyHan’s book series adaptation ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ and star #LolaTung teases “surprises” for fans.

The 11-episode season premieres this July and picks up after season 2, where Belly and Jeremiah got together. With a major time jump, Belly is now in college and still dating Jeremiah—but what does that mean for the show’s central love triangle with brothers Conrad (#ChristopherBriney) and Jeremiah (#GavinCasalegno) Fisher? In the new season, Belly is attending college with Jeremiah, and they are still dating.

“The Jellyfish fans love how sweet and how they are, at their core, best friends,” Tung says. “That relationship is something that’s so special and so unique to them, so it’s exciting to see this season and how their relationship blossoms.” 

Han promises the Jelly fans that the couple have many amazing scenes in the upcoming season, as well as a lot of scenes for Team Bonrad. 

“There are the things that [fans] know, things they think they know, and then hopefully, things that surprise them,” Han tells Entertainment Weekly.
