📢It's been a busy couple of weeks. Here's what your College is doing for you...

➡️We published a statement on the importance of protecting GPs and their teams across the UK, highlighting the abuse practices have faced and the need for greater support from government and NHS bodies, including ICBs in England.

➡️We responded to the GMC’s latest report on workplace experiences, calling for an end to ‘the cycle of burnout’.

➡️Chair Kamila Hawthorne was interviewed on Good Morning Britain – and featured in the national press - on how remote appointments can be convenient and safe for patients, and that most consultations are still delivered in person.

➡️We attended NHS England's National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme Collaborative Design event to highlight the importance of GP leadership and representation.

➡️We published an editorial in the BJGP highlighting the benefits of the partnership model and how it needs to evolve to meet new challenges.

➡️Chair Kamila Hawthorne spoke to BBC News, highlighting the importance of properly funded services for patients on weight loss drugs, following the publication of NICE guidance.

➡️We signed up to a letter to Health Secretary Wes Streeting convened by the Alcohol Health Alliance calling for more to be done to tackle alcohol harms.

➡️We attended a Department of Work and Pensions roundtable with GP leaders to discuss fit note reform and the role of primary care in supporting people back into work.

➡️We responded to NICE consultations on osteoporosis and new and updated NICE indicators on a wide range of topics, ensuring the GP voice is being heard in the development of clinical guidelines
