Steve Elkington won the 1995 pgachampionship at Riviera Country Club.

Our Class of 2017 Professional Player Inductee shot a final round 64 (−7) to force a playoff with Colin Montgomerie. This would be his only major championship win which was decided in sudden-death extra holes.
