it’s no secret that i am currently in a hockey spiral, and i read the first two (plus the holiday book) books in the hockey ever after series last month and fell in love with this universe.

but, y’all. unrivaled. this one? has my whole heart. 

i love a cocky antagonizing asshole who is secretly a big ol’ sap and max lockhart fuckin’ delivers. his dynamic with grady is PERFECT- very grumpy/sunshine and they just complimented each other so well. the rivals to lovers angle is one of my favorites and max is SO GOOD at getting under grady’s skin. the tension is just!!! 

we also got to see characters from the other books which always makes me happy and the little baller and gabe cameos made me miss them so much i’m contemplating starting the series over again.

i laughed out loud so much while reading this and i can’t tell you how many times i “aw’d” out loud. it’s just the perfect mix of tension and affection and i really really really think you should read this and yell about max and grady with me. 

also the biggest thank you to gaybookpromotions for letting me partake in this tour (even though i am a mess and am posting very late because my spam folder hates me)! they’re the best and the most understanding.
