Gennings Dunker embodies everything I love about offensive line play. The Athletic calls him the Big Ten’s best tackle, but that’s just the beginning.

He’s a hay bale toss champion who earned a 90.2 PFF grade - higher than Tristan Wirfs ever got in college. His quarterback calls him “a total meathead” but his technical awareness is off the charts.

When I hear him talk about gaining ground on first steps and nose-to-nose contact, I hear a student of the game who truly gets it.

The most impressive part? Despite all the accolades, he says “I see a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed.”

That humility combined with elite talent is a rare combination. This kid represents everything great about football - work ethic, technique, and never being satisfied.

Can’t wait to watch him dominate this season.
