## Caption

What began as a demand for visibility has grown into a global celebration of love, identity, and resilience. 🏳️‍🌈

"Gay Liberation," (1970) was a chance for art to be used as a tool for visibility, protest, and empowerment. Designed by Su Negrin, illustrated by Suzanne Bevier, and featuring photography by Peter Hujar, this poster reflects the determination and courage of the early LGBTQIA+ rights movement.

We celebrate how far we’ve come—and recognize the ongoing work toward equity and freedom for ALL. #PrideMonth #SFPride #LoveIsLove
