✨ #DYK that in addition to the 300+ artworks in “Ruth Asawa: Retrospective,” she also left her mark on San Francisco with over 10 public artworks? 

She enjoyed making public commissions for two reasons:
1⃣ She got to experiment with new techniques and materials
2⃣ She was able to collaborate with architects, developers, fabricators, and the community to bring the site-specific artworks to life
