🌿 Ever seen 19,000 plants grow without soil? This Earth Day, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the Living Wall at sfmoma.

It’s a 150-foot-wide, self-sustaining ecosystem with 37 plant species, 21 of them native to California. Thanks to the innovation of habitat_horticulture, it runs on recycled stormwater, moisture sensors, and a custom material made from plastic bottles. 🌧️💧♻️

Here’s how nature and design come together—right here on the museum’s Sculpture Terrace.
