Reddit is blocking the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine from most of Reddit.
Why? Reddit says AI firms were scraping archived pages - so Wayback access is now basically the homepage only. That protects policies, but it also erases public history of posts, comments, and profiles.

What changed? AI scraping → block; posts/comments/profiles closed off; critics say it aligns with paid data licensing.
