Celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut With The Beautiful (and Delicious!) Food Of Israel! Food is one of the best ways to experience new cultures. Food Highlights: Piccolino - our first meal & one of the best. Every dish was better than the next & the owner took care of us like family. @piccolino_israel  Hatzot - this incredible meal started with a gazillion small dishes & ended with a meat filled plank of wood that took TWO waitresses to bring over. Plus this is where we learned about arak & lemonade. @hatzot.restaurant  Hummus Shel Tchina - we had the most amazing hummus tasting menu.  @ahummussheltchina  Machane Yehuda Market - there was lamb bacon, bread, cheese…and everything in between. @machane_yehuda  Land of Tents - very authentic Bedouin experience. Our host Salem welcomed us into his home & offered us a delicious dinner in the middle of the dessert. @landoftents  Hashomer - our loaf of fresh baked challah disappeared before the waitress’ hand left the plate. Their famous sandwiches & platters including schnitzel, falafel, lamb & roast beef didn’t last much longer. @hashomer.tlv  Lahuhe Food Bar - the nice man fed us here although his restaurant was closed. He offered us Yemenite bread & lemonade confirming just how special Tzvat is. @lahuhezfat  Galileat - our last planned meal was an amazing cooking class in the home of a Druze woman named Pnina. We began with tea, coffee & learning about Druze culture with the help of our co-chef Paul. Then we cored zucchini, stuffed grape leaves, made Sinye (meat kebobs cooked in tehina), & poked holes in and fried Zalabya (fried spice bread).
