Watermelon Margarita Granita 🍉🧊🍹Our favorite summer cocktail, in the form of the most delicious frozen treat! 

This is so easy to make – you just need 4 ingredients and a few hours in the freezer! Once the cocktail mixture is frozen, just use a fork to scrape it into a satisfying, shave ice-like texture. We freeze them in mini watermelon halves to make it extra fun, but any container will do! 

The key ingredient is a really good quality margarita mix, and we absolutely refuse to buy any other brand except nataliesoj. By far the freshest, most delicious store-bought juices you can buy!! #DrinkNatalies 

RECIPE: 

1 mini watermelon
1 cups Natalie’s Margarita Mix
1/4 cup tequila 
2 tbsp orange liqueur 
Optional for serving: flaky salt and lime zest

Slice the mini watermelon in half. Trim a thin slice off the bottom of each halve so they sit flat. 

Using a spoon, carve out the watermelon flesh, making sure to leave a border intact around the edges and bottom. 

Add the watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth. 

In a large pitcher, whisk together 3 cups of the watermelon juice, 1 cups margarita mix, 1/4 cup tequila and 2 tbsp triple sec. Reserve any leftover watermelon juice for drinking. 

Place the watermelon halves on a baking sheet. Fill each one with the margarita mixture. Freeze for 6-8 hours, or until completely frozen. 

Once you’re ready to serve, scrape the mixture with a fork until it’s like shaved ice. Enjoy right away, or keep it in the freezer until you’re ready to eat. Before serving, garnish with lime zest and flaky salt.
