Lately, attacks on humanitarian workers have risen at an alarming rate. Local humanitarians are the first to respond in any crisis, yet they are also the ones who bear the overwhelming brunt of violence and loss.

This #WorldHumanitarianDay, we stand in solidarity to demand the protection of humanitarian workers, both volunteers and staff. States must uphold international laws to protect humanitarians.

We must #ProtectHumanity.
