#CathyCade born in 1942, is an American photographer noted for her work in documentary photography focusing on lesbian mothering.  Cade began photographing in 1971 — the same year she came out as a lesbian. In the decades since, Cade has documented the quiet joys and great successes of womanhood, focusing on the lesbian community of the Bay Area.
