Held annually in Les Deux Alpes, France, this legendary downhill mountain bike race is known for its insane terrain and even crazier mass start. With the starting point at 11,200ft on a glacier, over 1,000 riders—both amateur and pro—charge down a brutal 17 mile (25km) course, descending 8,200ft (2,500 meters) through snow, ice, gravel, mud, and tight conditions.

From wipeouts on ice to elbow-to-elbow chaos at full speed, this race is pure adrenaline. Watch the raw, full-race POV from Junior 1 rider Leo Lagache as he battles through the race that very few mountain biking athletes risk taking on. Will he conquer the mountain—or will the mountain win?
