Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Monday that bromazolam, also known as “Designer Xanax,” received an emergency designation as a Schedule 1 drug.
 
A coalition of 21 attorneys general is calling on the Drug Enforcement Administration to take emergency action against the drug, which has been linked to multiple deaths across the country.
