YES - the rumors are true.

High Valley is at risk of losing $162,000 in government funding this year. And while that financial loss is hard to think about and we are actively advocating for continued support, we believe our community cares enough to step in and appreciates the value we provide to the families of the San Luis Valley.

HVCC exists to provide programming for kids not only as a safe place during parents' working hours, but as a place to invest into the youth that are going to create huge change for our future.

At HVCC, kids are mentored, encouraged, challenged, and loved. They’re given space to grow into leaders. They learn to problem-solve, to work together, to dream big, and they do all of this in a place that’s safe, consistent, and full of people who believe in them.

We provide over 800 hours of programming a year for local kids. That’s 800 hours of guidance, meals, homework help, life lessons, emotional support, and meaningful connection. And with program costs averaging $16.25 per child per hour, every dollar truly counts.

But with these funding concerns, we can’t keep going at full strength without help.
We need our community to step up.
