The tragic Germanwings Flight 9525 crash, which resulted in the deaths of all 150 people on board, involved the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, deliberately crashing the aircraft. 

The flight originated in Barcelona, Spain, and was headed for Düsseldorf, Germany. The BEA final report determined that Lubitz, who was experiencing a mental disorder, deliberately crashed the plane while alone in the cockpit, thus ending his life and the lives of all passengers and crew
