The Children's Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa is closing next year, but it's returning bigger and better with a new name and new location.

CHOM's last day at its University Boulevard location downtown will be Aug. 1, 2026, with the year leading up to that closure filled with a celebration of the museum's 40 years of operation.
