Hiking Runyon Canyon for sunrise needs to be on your LA bucket list ✨🥾🏔️ I was pleasantly surprised that we woke up in time to get to the top for sunrise, and this is a hike I can see us going on over and over again.

Here’s everything you need to know about hiking 📍 Runyon Canyon:
🌅 I recommend hiking for sunrise. It gets really hot if you hike midday, and it will be more packed.
🚙 If you’re coming from the South part of Runyon, there’s street parking on N Fuller Ave. Parking is very limited, but people are constantly in and out.
🥾 Once you enter, you have the option to go up from the east or west loop. I recommend going east, towards Inspiration Point. Depending on how quickly you hike, you should get there within 10 minutes.
🏔️ Take in the views at Inspiration Point before finishing off the rest of the hike. You are 50% way there!
🥾 You’ll hike up in between bushes, but the path is pretty clear. Then, you’ll end up at a fence with locks.
💦 Keep going. You’ll think you’re at the top, but there’s one more leg.
🏔️ Hike up a bit more and you’ll know you’re at the top when you see 2 benches. Rest and take in the views. They are beautiful 😍
🥾 Take the same path or follow the loop to get back down.

Hiking Runyon Canyon took us around 25 minutes with stops at each viewpoint. The views are incredible, and this is something that needs to be added onto your LA bucket list. I love that you can see Griffith Observatory from afar and even though sunrise is a hit or a miss, they views are so worth it at the end! Remember to stay hydrated & enjoy the hike!
