Wildfires are tearing through Spain – already nearly 400,000 hectares burned, lives lost, and communities devastated. At the same time, false claims are spreading almost as fast as the flames.

The facts are clear: the climate crisis is fuelling longer droughts, harsher heatwaves, and ever more destructive fires. And while people pay the price with their homes, health and lives – the oil, coal and gas corporations most responsible pay nothing.

For decades they’ve made trillions, while covering up what they knew: that burning fossil fuels would supercharge wildfires, floods and deadly heatwaves.

This is not just unfair – it’s outrageous. It’s time to #MakePollutersPay.

By making polluters pay, we can:
✅ Protect people’s health and fund emergency services
✅ Equip first responders to tackle fires and disasters
✅ Support the most vulnerable communities
