## Caption

Knot artist Windy Chien reflects on how Ruth Asawa made space for artists like her to think bigger. A commitment to craft. A reverence for repetition. A belief that beauty belongs in the everyday. Chien carries forward Asawa’s spirit through her own work—and reminds us why Asawa’s art still speaks volumes. 🎟️ See "Ruth Asawa: Retrospective," before the closing crowds roll in. On view through Sept 2. 🧵 And find Windy’s own pieces for sale at the exhibition gift shop. [Artwork © Ruth Asawa Lanier, Inc., Courtesy David Zwirner] #RuthAsawa #SanFrancisco #sfmoma
