Cinematographer Adam Bricker, ASC (realadambricker) sharing a #R3DSnapshot for his Emmy-nominated work on 'Chef's Table: Legends.' 

“One of my favorite moments from the Jamie Oliver (jamieoliver) episode is the focaccia scene between Jamie and his dear friend Gennaro Contaldo (gennarocontaldo).

It was lensed by my second unit DP and longtime collaborator, Charlie Panian (charliehoosier). Charlie and I went to film school together, and he first joined Chef’s Table as a loader on the pilot. Over the seasons he graduated to cinematographer, and his beautiful eye has defined much of the series’ look.

For this sequence, we set out to give it a nostalgic, dreamlike quality—shafts of sunlight splash across the focaccia and bounce off the table. The kitchen didn’t get direct sunlight, so Charlie stayed true to the intention by pushing an HMI through the window, which we painted out in post.

I love how it turned out. To me, it’s one of the most fun, beautiful, and delicious scenes in the episode.”
