I haven't been to Farm Fair in probably 10 years. I walked around, met some animals, but I stopped to stare at the swings. The swings were always one of the first rides I'd get on in any amusement park. Something about soaring over people's heads with my arms flung out felt like a great opening to a night of amusement park rides. It's truly idyllic to stare at; this refashioning of childhood playground equipment whipping smiling screaming kids around. Everything is so scary, but these kids are LIVING. The teenagers too: screaming on the zipper, buying cotton candy for their sweetie, having wooden katana fights. What else can they do other than live? #childhood #memories #newjersey #farmfair #summer #writing #amusementpark
