Ten years on from his tragic loss, we remember the witty, humble and quietly steely Justin Wilson. ❤️‍🩹
 
A title winner in Formula Palmer Audi and F3000, his promising European career was hamstrung by his height and lack of funding - but on switching to the USA, Wilson flourished, with wins and podiums in Champ Car before joining IndyCar with the storied Newman/Haas/Lanigan team. In his first year, he took an emotional maiden victory at Detroit only weeks before the death of team co-founder Paul Newman. 🕊️
 
His three career IndyCar wins all came at different types of circuit - road, street and oval - and that broad skillset wasn't limited to open-wheel: a reliable performer at the Daytona 24 Hours, he won the race with MSR Curb/Agajanian in 2012. #BadAss
